of the Chief State Sanitary Inspector No. 7 dated 18 March 2020 “On ensuring an isolation regime to prevent the spread of COVID-19”, all foreign citizens crossing the state border of the Russian Federation should have a medical document in Russian or English confirming a negative result of a COVID-19 test using a PCR method, taken not earlier than three calendar days before arrival.
Russian citizens arriving from abroad by air shall fill in a relevant questionnaire on the Public Service resource when they purchase a ticket or check in for the flight. Russian citizens must undergo laboratory testing for COVID-19 by PCR within three calendar days after arrival and then upload the results onto the official website.
A number of additional anti-epidemic measures are in place at Elizovo Airport to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. Remote thermometry is carried out at the entrance and in front of the pre-flight inspection area. The passenger terminal is cleaned on a regular basis with disinfectants, special attention being paid to contact equipment and surfaces, handrails and door handles. All passenger service areas are equipped with bactericidal air disinfection irradiators, and containers with antiseptic solutions for hand treatment are readily available. A reminder of the need to keep a social distance is broadcast via a PA system. In addition, there are special floor markings in the passenger service areas and special stickers on the seats in the waiting rooms. Airport staff are provided with disposable masks and gloves, whereas employees who contact travellers are provided with additional safety goggles.
