Over 540 Thousand Passengers Took Advantage of Kamchatka Flagship Airport Services Year-to-Date

The Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky International Airport (Elizovo) (member of the Airports of Regions Holding) rendered services to over 540 thousand passengers in nine months of 2018, which is almost 6% above the like period in the last year.
At the same time, the number of passengers grew exponentially in certain destinations. International destinations demonstrated the most dynamic growth, almost twofold - from 10 to 18 thousand people. The increase largely took place on account of Pegas Fly charters to Nha Trang (Vietnam). The carrier extended its program this year for the whole summer period. Furthermore, flights to Anchorage (USA) and Tokyo (Japan) were made traditionally from Kamchatka by Yakutia Airline.
Passenger traffic of the main air harbor of Kamchatka on domestic lines totaled nearly 522 thousand people. Growth was 4.5% against the like period of the last year.  Flights to Moscow, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk and Novosibirsk and to local destinations of Tilichiki, Palana and Tigil traditionally enjoyed the highest demand among passengers. Furthermore, flights from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to Anadyr were resumed for the first time this year after a long break.
The following airlines generated the bulk of the passenger traffic in the Elizovo Airport during the mentioned period: Aeroflot, Aurora, Rossiya, Globus, S7, Kamchatka Aviation Company, Yakutia and Pegas Fly.
