The air travel has been launched between Kamchatka Territory and Irkutsk Region starting on May 03. Passengers of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Elizovo) international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) may now use direct flights Irkutsk – Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in both directions.
Flights are operated once a week by S7 Airlines using Airbus A320neo aircrafts that seat 164 passengers. Till May 31 flights from/to Irkutsk will be performed on Sundays. Starting on May 20 flights from Irkutsk have been scheduled for Wednesdays with planes arriving in the peninsula the next day. Flights depart from the main airport of Kamchatka to Irkutsk every Thursday, a direct flight lasting 5h25min.
