Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Elizovo) international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) has prepared more than 27,000 food kits for lonely senior citizens older than 65, quarantined in their homes because of rampant coronavirus infection, each kit including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
On April 17 the airport joined the initiative taken by the Airports of Regions holding, part of Renova Group, to provide three-meal catering kits for quarantined retirees. The given group is in need of help more than others because these people have no loved ones to support them. The social municipal service of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and the social service of Elizovo are in charge of food distribution and delivery.
In addition to the airport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Koltsovo (Yekaterinburg), Kurumoch (Samara), Strigino (Nizhny Novgorod) and Platov (Rostov-on-Don) airports have also joined this initiative. The total number of free three-meal rations produced by the Airports of Regions holding comes to 3,500 kits a day.
